Direct Orders: take delivery orders on your own link

← All notes

Green Leaf Café has a loyal crowd around Park Street. Half of them already order on delivery apps, and the café pays a commission on every one of those orders. The owner's question was simple: can my regulars order from me, on my own link, and still get the food fast?

That is Direct Orders: delivery on the QuickKOT QR menu, on your menu link or your own web address.

What the customer sees

  1. They open your menu link, add dishes, and choose Delivery in the cart. A table QR never shows Delivery, so dine-in guests are not confused.
  2. They type their name and WhatsApp number and get a 4-digit code. Every delivery order is verified this way.
  3. They pick a saved address or type one, and choose their area from your zone list. Each area has its own delivery charge.
  4. The last step checks every item, its stock and its price again, and shows delivery and packing with their own GST. Cash on delivery is always there; Pay online appears when your payment gateway account and your own web address are connected. QuickKOT helps you get your own payment gateway account with the leading providers.
  5. A status page follows the order, and each step reaches them on WhatsApp, including the rider's name and number.

What the counter does

The order lands on Draft tickets with a beep, the customer's history with you, and a 15-minute countdown. Accept · send to kitchen makes the delivery ticket like a phoned-in order and prints the KOT. Reject with a reason tells the customer on WhatsApp and refunds a paid order at once. Out of one dish? Take an item off before accepting. Busy? Pause 30 min. An order nobody accepts lapses after 15 minutes and the customer is told.

When the rider leaves, an unpaid bill can carry a single-use UPI QR, valid for an hour, so the customer pays by scan at the door.

What the owner sees

Online orders lists every Direct Order for a day, a week, a month or any dates up to 90 days: accepted to which ticket, rejected and why, lapsed, and who handled it. Payments taken online show in Online collections, from collected to settled. A chain can give each outlet its own address, or one address that lists the outlets.

Setting it up

In Settings › Delivery: switch on Delivery on POS, add your zones and riders, then turn on Delivery on the QR menu. A checklist shows what is still missing. Share the link on WhatsApp, or print its QR on flyers and bags.

QuickKOT takes no commission per order. On orders paid online, your payment gateway charges its usual fee on that payment.

Questions

Does QuickKOT take a commission on each order?

No. Direct Orders is part of your plan. On orders paid online, your payment gateway charges its usual fee on that payment; cash on delivery has no gateway fee.

Do I need my own website?

No. Your QuickKOT menu link takes delivery orders with cash on delivery from day one. Your own web address is needed for Pay online, and QuickKOT support connects it.

How are fake orders kept out?

Every delivery order is verified with a code on WhatsApp, and staff accept each order on Draft tickets before it reaches the kitchen.

Which plans include Direct Orders?

Premium and Enterprise. Economy gets it with the QR menu add-on.
