Direct Orders — delivery orders on your own link
Direct Orders lets customers order delivery from your QR menu link or your own web address. The example is Green Leaf Café, Park Street. Button names match the app. It needs the QR menu (Economy with the QR menu add-on, or Premium and Enterprise) and Delivery on POS.
1. Turn it on
- Settings › Delivery: switch on Delivery on POS, set the packing charge and default delivery charge with their GST rates, and press Save charges.
- Under Zones, add the areas you deliver to with their charge and minutes. Customers pick their area from this list. Under Riders, add a name and phone number for each rider.
- Switch on Delivery on the QR menu. Set Taking orders from and Until, or leave both empty to take orders all day. Press Save QR menu delivery.
- Ready to take orders is a checklist: a green tick on each line means it's ready. Pay online and QR on delivery bills need a ready account in Settings › Payment accounts and your own online-order web address, which QuickKOT support connects. QuickKOT helps you get your own payment gateway account with the leading providers.
- Copy Your delivery link and share it on WhatsApp, or print its QR on flyers and bags. A table QR never shows Delivery.
2. What the customer does
- Adds dishes and chooses Delivery in the cart.
- Types their name and WhatsApp number and enters the 4-digit code. Every delivery order is verified; too many wrong codes or resends pause that phone and number for an hour.
- Picks a saved address or types one, with the area from your zone list, then Deliver here.
- Reviews the total: items and stock are checked again, with delivery and packing and their GST. Chooses cash on delivery, or pays online when it is on, and places the order.
- Follows the order on its status page and on WhatsApp.
3. Accept or reject on Draft tickets
- The order arrives on Draft tickets with a beep: the verified number, the customer's history with you, the address, the area and a 15-minute countdown. Call the customer first if you need to.
- Accept · send to kitchen makes the delivery ticket, prints the KOT and confirms to the customer on WhatsApp.
- Take an item off lowers quantities before you accept; the total drops, and a paid order is refunded the difference.
- Reject…: pick a reason and Reject and tell the customer. A paid order is refunded in full.
- Pause 30 min or Pause until I resume when the kitchen is full; Resume when it isn't. An order nobody accepts in 15 minutes lapses and the customer is told.
4. Cook, send out, settle
On KDS the ticket reads Delivery · COD or Delivery · Paid. When every kitchen has its items ready, it reads Ready to Pickup. Assign the rider and press Send out: the customer gets the rider's name and number. An unpaid bill can carry a single-use UPI QR, valid for an hour. Press Delivered, then collect a cash-on-delivery payment as usual.
5. See how it went: Online orders
Managers open Online orders under the order lists: every Direct Order for today, yesterday, 7 days, 30 days or any dates up to 90 days. Filter Accepted, Rejected, Lapsed or Waiting, search by customer name, phone, D-number or ticket, open a row for its full history, and Export Excel. Head office picks an outlet with the outlet picker.
Done
Delivery on, zones and riders added, the link shared, an order accepted to the kitchen, sent out and settled, and the report checked. QuickKOT takes no commission per order; on orders paid online, your payment gateway charges its usual fee.
All of it on one page: Direct Orders. Delivery on the till: delivery orders.
